Ivan's personal story

I died lonely and heartbroken in 2017 drinking myself to death after a horrible marriage breakdown.

This is my uncle's story who lost everything for trying to fulfil the one thing he wanted to achieve in life after coming here from another country for a better life and family.

He worked for 35yrs at the one motor company a proud Australian brand on the assembly line. Every dollar of his hard earned was saved so he could buy his own home which he achieved. He didn't move far from his sisters house so he could still see her and his four nephews/niece. He was a very generous very friendly and very family orientated.

All he wanted was a wife and to have kids that's when his friend introduced him to the future Mrs C. His sister had a bad feeling about her just something wasn't right. She warned him to not get married and to wait a little longer. But he was in love so we supported his decision. On the night of the wedding he was so happy every photo showed how he was fully invested in the relationship. However when we focussed on her you could see the feeling wasn't mutual. One particular photo has everyone smile while she had this evil look.

It didn't take long before her plan went into action. She had two kids from a previous partner both had drying addiction issues. My uncle wanted to help them so he took them in. That's when things got worse, sterling abusing him but he still felt the need to help. Mrs C then convinced him to buy a bungalow for her mother. Now they have completly occupied his home.

Between the two of them not one meal was cooked for him in two years. The only food he had was what he spent money on for everyone which he would get to see. We tried to help him but were helpless as we could never get in the house she was always there as she never worked. She had drained all his life savings which was in the six figure range and the only thing left was his house.

He showed me a medical record he opened about her having her uterus removed. She never good him she couldn't have kids when he spoke several times to her about it. He was so shocked but that was the point of realisation. So Mrs C and her mother then tried to claim via his doctor that they were full time careers for him cos he wasn't well. Lucky his doctor checked on him and told him what she was claiming. He was very fit and healthy no sign of any health issues.

He then told them to leave his home but they refused to leave and the court battle began. He ended up paying her $50,000 for the bungalow he paid for and they were gone. However begging a old European he neglected to file for devorce. She was gone for 7yrs and that's when his friend found him dead on the floor of his home from a heart attack. That's when she appeared at the home claiming to be his wife to the police.

Luckily his friend told them she wasn't anymore and hasn't been for years. So I was called as the next of kin. I found across the road from his home mrs C drug addicted daughter had married the son of the neighbor who was keeping watch on him hence she turned up. She was after his home valued at $1.3m the very home he said he would leave to his nephews/neice if he didn't have kids of his own.

We found out that year just 4mths after his death the law was changed and you required a devorce for your family by name to retain his property. Meaning she was still the rightful owner of his property. Even though she was paid out by a court and was no longer in his life for 7yrs. So she ghost the house claiming she lived in it ect...yet out of all that money she never spent one dollar on his grave site or tombstone. It turns out it was the second time she had gained property by deception being a fraud and having a evil plan to gain property from lonely men.
